STRIKE PLEDGE OFF TO A STRONG START

In just two weeks we have over 1000 STRIKE PLEDGES SIGNED! Healthcare workers at Longmont have reached 100% of their coworkers who have signed the pledge to strike.

At four other Colorado KP locations, we have reached 75% strike pledge commitments, and another 15 KP sites have reached 50% of caregivers who are committed to be strike ready.

Get YOUR coworkers to sign the pledge to strike! Contact your local stewards or organizers to get more strike pledges.

KAISER FEARS OUR POWER

Members of our 80,000 workers strong coalition in California started their first round of strike votes this week. Kaiser responded by closing cafeterias across the state to interfere with the voter turnout. Read and share the post below.

In another example that KP has lost its way, a communication sent out by KP management argued that the “non-profit” with over $30 BILLION in reserves and over 30 top executives making six figures could not afford giving workers a livable wage raise in this contract.

KP supports giving their CEO a 60% raise, but livable wages specifically for our Colorado Pharmacy Techs are out of the question. Read the statement and share the post by clicking on this.

WEEKLY STRIKE Q & A

Q: Will I still get paid for my vacation if my approved vacation occurs during the strike?

A: Yes. If Kaiser doesn’t pay your approved vacation time because it occurred during the strike, that would be an Unfair Labor Practice, and our union would file those charges on your behalf.
