Colorado WINS is comprised of three of the country’s largest public employee unions—SEIU, AFSCME and AFT—that together represent more than 3 million public service workers across the United States. Governor Bill Ritter issued an Executive Order on Nov. 2, 2007 that granted state employees the ability to partner with the state by choosing their own employee organization.
Under the Executive Order, state employees were classified into seven occupational groups for the purposes of selecting an employee organization; employees in all seven groups voted overwhelmingly for Colorado WINS as their official organization. Learn more.
