This is the same campaign that has successfully won increases in the minimum wage in Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Most recently in New York, the Wage Board set a floor of $15 an hour for the fast food industry.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1416\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1416\" style=\"width: 268px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seiu105.org\/es\/files\/2015\/08\/Award-Fight-for-15-3-e1439421592259.jpg\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1416 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.seiu105.org\/files\/2015\/08\/Award-Fight-for-15-3-268x300.jpg\" alt=\"2015 Solidarity Award: Fight for $15 SEIU Local 105\" width=\"268\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1416\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">2015 Solidarity Award: Fight for $15 SEIU Local 105<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>SEIU Local 105 is working to make Colorado the next state on the list to boast a minimum wage that resembles a living wage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSEIU Local 105 has been the force behind the Fight for $15 Campaign in Colorado,\u201d states Felicia F. Griffin, Executive Director of FRESC. \u201cThe dedication Local 105 shows in their collaborative efforts to ensure that the voices of working people in low-wage jobs are heard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Colorado\u2019s current minimum wage of $8.23 is higher than the national minimum wage of $7.25 but does not meet the needs of working families to provide for themselves. Wages have been stagnant in the United States for decades and not keeping up with inflation.
