Last week, SEIU members from across the country<\/b><\/span>\u00a0met in\u00a0Los Angeles to demand quality patient care and a stronger voice at the table with Kaiser Permanente.<\/p>\n

SEIU Local 105 members showed their support throughout the region by wearing “Patients First” stickers to work on the first day of bargaining. You\u00a0sent a strong message to KP that we’re ready to stand in solidarity and take action!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"5.20.19_STICKER<\/p>\n

BARGAINING<\/strong>\u00a0UPDATE\u00a0<\/strong><\/big><\/small><\/span><\/h3>\n

In our first bargaining session, we worked on exploring our joint interests in the areas of:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Work of the Future<\/li>\n
  • Commitment to Re-Build & Renew the Partnership<\/li>\n
  • High Quality Patient Care & Operational Effectiveness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The next bargaining session will take place May 28th-29th, and workers will be going to the table with the following\u00a0significant demands:<\/big><\/small><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Equity for the Regions Outside California (ROC<\/strong>), so Colorado’s workers can reach\u00a0the same cost of living raises and pension multiplier as California<\/big><\/small><\/li>\n
    • Better job security and protection,<\/strong>\u00a0particularly around outsourcing and automation<\/big><\/small><\/li>\n
    • A longer-term agreement<\/strong>, a five-year contract that protects our benefits<\/big><\/small><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      PRIMARY CARE FIGHTBACK\u00a0<\/strong><\/big><\/small><\/span><\/h3>\n

      Another set of sessions with management were held last week discussing staffing changes in Primary Care.<\/p>\n

      What was covered in these sessions:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Toolkits that employees will need for all three buckets of work.<\/li>\n
      • Work specific to LPNs in Convenience Care.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
