Espero que hayan podido disfrutar de las vacaciones con amigos y familiares y pasar un tiempo significativo con ellos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Antes de mirar hacia el 2020, es importante que hagamos un balance de todo lo que logramos juntos en el 2019. Tuvimos un a\u00f1o decisivo:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Lanzamos nuestra l\u00ednea de atenci\u00f3n para miembros y respondimos a m\u00e1s de 1,800 llamadas ayudando nuestros janitors con problemas en el trabajo;<\/strong>\nAl organizar a m\u00e1s de 550 nuevos miembros en servicios de pasajeros en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Denver, por primera vez en nuestra historia, <strong>SEIU 105 ahora representa a m\u00e1s de 8,000 trabajadores;<\/strong><\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">En Kaiser Permanente, estando unidos con 85,000 miembros de la Coalici\u00f3n de Uniones de Kaiser, nuestros miembros se organizaron para estar listos para la huelga en las negociaciones m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles que hemos tenido en m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os. <strong>Nos enfrentamos cara a cara con una compa\u00f1\u00eda de $ 80 mil millones y ganamos un gran contrato<\/strong>que venci\u00f3 a los sistemas de beneficios de dos niveles, se gan\u00f3 nuevas protecciones contra la contrataci\u00f3n externa y la subcontrataci\u00f3n, y se gan\u00f3 buenos aumentos anuales del costo de la vida. Esto eleva los salarios de todos los trabajadores;<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Tuvimos m\u00e1s triunfos en negociaciones importantes en nuestra uni\u00f3n:<\/strong> en el Centro de Salud Mental de Denver (MHCD) obtuvimos buenos aumentos en su reapertura salarial, negociamos el primer contrato sindical de Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (PPRM), y nuestro 2,500 conserjes ganaron nuevos aumentos debido al aumento del salario m\u00ednimo en Denver.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Lo que m\u00e1s me impresion\u00f3 del 2019 fue la solidaridad en toda nuestra uni\u00f3n. Miembros de toda nuestra uni\u00f3n participaron en las luchas de los dem\u00e1s. Esta unidad fortalece nuestra uni\u00f3n y ayuda a todos a ganar m\u00e1s. Comprobamos que no importa de d\u00f3nde venimos, en qu\u00e9 c\u00f3digo postal vivimos o de qu\u00e9 color es nuestra piel: cuando nos unimos, ganamos m\u00e1s justicia econ\u00f3mica y racial para todos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Este a\u00f1o nuevo tambi\u00e9n hay mucho en juego. Espero que est\u00e9s tan emocionado como yo por lo que est\u00e1 por venir:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Nuestro contrato para m\u00e1s de 2,500 janitors en el centro y la \u00e1rea Metropolitana de Denver vence el 5 de julio de 2020.<\/strong> Ya esos miembros se est\u00e1n organizando para lo que va ser una lucha \u00e9pica por un buen contrato nuevo;<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>M\u00e1s de 1,000 miembros en el aeropuerto negociar\u00e1n sus contratos y ya se est\u00e1n preparando para luchar;<\/strong><\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">Nuestros miembros de MHCD re-negociar\u00e1n su contrato completo este a\u00f1o y est\u00e1n listos para mantenerse firmes;<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">Nuestros miembros de Kaiser se mantienen firmes para hacer la Asociaci\u00f3n una realidad al insistir en contar con suficiente personal, un bono de PSP justo y muchos otros temas;<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Las elecciones del 2020<\/strong> ser\u00e1n extremadamente importantes con muchos candidatos importantes y temas en la boleta electoral para las familias trabajadoras y los miembros de la uni\u00f3n. \u00a1Instamos a todos nuestros miembros a registrarse para votar AHORA y animamos a los miembros de su familia a que tambi\u00e9n lo hagan!<\/li><li>Continuaremos desarrollando nuestro poder en nuestras tres \u00e1reas principales de enfoque:<ul><li><strong>Poder en el lugar de trabajo:<\/strong>reclutando y capacitando a m\u00e1s miembros del Equipo de Acci\u00f3n y Comunicaci\u00f3n (CAT) para que podamos representar bien a nuestros miembros, organizarnos en asuntos del lugar de trabajo y ganar grandes contratos;<\/li><li><strong>Poder de la industria:<\/strong>hacer crecer nuestra uni\u00f3n organizando nuevos trabajadores. A medida que m\u00e1s trabajadores en nuestras industrias est\u00e1n en nuestra uni\u00f3n, podemos mejorar los est\u00e1ndares de salarios y condiciones de trabajo para todos;<\/li><li><strong>Poder pol\u00edtico y comunitario:<\/strong>elegir m\u00e1s candidatos a favor de los trabajadores y construir alianzas m\u00e1s s\u00f3lidas con los aliados de la comunidad porque la pol\u00edtica afecta todo en nuestras vidas en el trabajo y en nuestras comunidades.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Como puede ver, tenemos mucho trabajo por hacer en el 2020.
