Below is an update on major victories, political power, and what we accomplished together this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Recent Victories Across Our Union<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our members continue to win big across industries. Here are this month\u2019s highlights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Servicios de Salud<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cl\u00ednica Family Health and Wellness \u2013 Boulder Walk-In Crisis Center<\/strong> workers officially <strong>ratified their first-ever union contract<\/strong>, a historic milestone after more than a year of negotiations. As the only unionized mental health crisis and withdrawal management facility in Boulder County, Cl\u00ednica workers secured major improvements\u2014including stronger workplace safety standards, more training and trauma support, protection from unilateral shift changes, improved job security in the event of a sale or merger, and guaranteed wage increases over the next three years.<br><br>These wins will stabilize staffing, reduce burnout, and improve the quality of care for some of Boulder Valley\u2019s most vulnerable community members.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Property Services (Master Contract)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Janitors in the Master Contract successfully won the reinstatement of <strong>full-time status<\/strong> for workers whose employers had reduced their hours. Restoring full-time capacity provides critical income stability, benefits access, and respect for the work our janitors do every day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Aeropuerto<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After over a <strong>year-long fight<\/strong>, a member leader at G2 won a major grievance victory that resulted in being reinstated to their job <strong>with full back pay<\/strong>. This is a powerful example of how enforcing the contract\u2014and sticking together\u2014gets results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Building Power Through COPE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This month, the Board took a deeper look at <strong>COPE\u2014the Committee on Political Education<\/strong>, and how essential it is to protecting and expanding the rights of working people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COPE is how we build the political power needed to defend our contracts, win higher wages and benefits, keep our communities safe, and make sure politicians\u2014no matter their party\u2014stand with workers instead of billionaires and corporations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thanks to COPE, SEIU Local 105 members have helped win:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Workplace protections and stronger enforcement<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum wage increases for the entire state, the airport, and the city of Denver<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paid family and medical leave<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paid sick leave for all workers<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protections for immigrant workers and communities<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Built power in the city of Denver and at the Airport to hold contractors accountable<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investments in healthcare, public services, and schools<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COPE is the shield and the megaphone that allows working people to fight back and win. And as our fights grow, COPE helps us take them beyond the halls of government\u2014into the public arena where corporations, elected officials, and community leaders all feel the pressure of a united workforce. Whether it\u2019s pushing back on unsafe staffing, low wages, immigrant abuses, or corporate greed, COPE is how we turn member issues into public issues that can\u2019t be ignored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a Board, we have doubled down on our commitment to the 2024 IU Convention goal: reaching <strong>25% member participation in COPE by 2028<\/strong>, and building political power through members contributing an average of <strong>$10 per month<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to learn more or sign up, connect with an organizer or steward at your worksite or visit <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.seiu105.org\/es\/cope\/\">seiu105.org\/cope<\/a><\/strong>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Executive Board &amp; All-Staff Retreat<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This month, the newly elected Executive Board met with all Local 105 staff for a full-day retreat\u2014the first time this new board has gathered with staff in person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, we:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reviewed the top priorities board members have identified over the last several months and made plans to execute on those priorities<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Held a <strong>political SWOT analysis<\/strong> to evaluate our strengths, challenges, opportunities, and threats in the fights ahead<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set shared goals for building a stronger, more engaged, and more powerful union heading into 2026<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This retreat created a unified foundation for how we move forward together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ask the Executive Board<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month we launched our <strong>Executive Board Q&amp;A form<\/strong>, and we want to continue encouraging members to use it.
