Urban Peak COLA Raises!

Because we came together and negotiated a strong contract, Urban Peak’s Board has approved the FY27 budget, which includes the 2% raise for bargaining unit members we won in our agreement last year.

The raise will be reflected in the October 23 paycheck and will include the adjustment back to October 1.

Staff should be able to see their new rates in ADP next week, giving everyone a chance to double and triple-check that the new rates are correct.

This raise is a direct result of workers organizing together and having a union at the table. It’s a reminder that when we have a strong, organized union, we have the power to win real improvements for ourselves and our coworkers.

What’s Next: Next Year’s Bargaining

We’re already looking ahead to our next round of bargaining. More information is coming soon about a member town hall to officially launch our next bargaining campaign. This will be an opportunity to come together, talk about what we want to fight for, and start building the campaign that will win it.

The strength of our union comes from members getting involved and there are several ways you can help build our collective power:

• Become a CAT (Contract Action Team) member
  • help communicate with coworkers, build participation, and take action during bargaining.
    
    
• Become a steward
  • help your coworkers understand and enforce their rights under our contract.
    
    
• Become a dues-paying member
  • make sure you have a voice and vote in our union and help strengthen the resources we have to organize and win.
    

We won this raise because we have a union. What we win next depends on how strong we build it together.
