πŸŽ‰ Congratulations to our SEIU endorsed candidates!

The voters have spoken! The basis of American democracy is that we pick our leaders – our leaders do not pick their voters. Despite the pandemic and deliberate barriers, voters have done our job and turned out in record numbers.

The overwhelming majority of our country has chosen Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as President and Vice President-elect. In Colorado, our janitors, healthcare, airport, and security workers showed up to vote in historic numbers for working families champions and state measures up and down the ballot.

Take a moment to celebrate by reading our full list of SEIU Local 105 endorsed candidates and ballot measures that WON below!

This is how we win, together. We are proud to have put in the work with partner organizations across Colorado to get out this historic vote. As a union, we called 2.4 million and texted 3.4 million Colorado voters. Over 300 of our members volunteered to ensure that we reached over half a million in our state.

We also must give a special shout out to Billy Sanchez, an SEIU Local 105 member at Kaiser Permanente, who just himself texted over 2 million voters across the country logging in over 100 volunteer shifts, setting a record nationwide.

United as Coloradans, we made the way for our families and communities. We stepped in during this crisis and will continue to do so as we move into the future. Now it is time to come together across race and place to ensure that the leaders we’ve chosen are sworn in to deal with the pandemic and move us forward together to a better future.
