KP Strike Update: 96% Vote YES to Strike!

Congratulations Colorado!

After 3 weeks of voting, YOU voted to get Kaiser Permanente back on track and stand up for respect, good community jobs, quality patient care, and a real partnership again.

Over 60% of Colorado’s SEIU 105 members at KP turned out to vote AND 96% OF YOU VOTED YES to authorize a strike, if necessary. This strong vote sends a powerful message to Kaiser that we will stand up tp their unfair labor practices and we hope they will finally listen.

What’s next? Bargaining and Strike Prep

Colorado workers now go into our next scheduled bargaining with KP next week with the strength of an overwhelmingly supportive YES vote to strike, if necessary.

The bargaining teams representing 85,000 workers strong Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions will be meeting at the bargaining session and we hope Kaiser comes and makes a serious effort to resolve the disputes and reach a new National Agreement. We will also discuss setting dates for when workers across the country would exercise their power to go on an unfair labor practice strike. Stay tuned for updates in the coming days.
